Having led regional and national teams in South Africa and East Africa, he has a proven track record of driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and launching successful brands in competitive markets.
Currently based in Zanzibar, Ashton specializes in commercial advisory for hotels, restaurants, and distributors, with deep expertise in pricing strategies, trade marketing, and brand development. His hands-on approach and extensive industry knowledge make him a valuable partner in optimizing commercial performance and unlocking new business opportunities.

Douglas is an accomplished hospitality engineer with more than 15 years of experience overseeing maintenance, construction and sustainability projects across leading hotels and resorts in Kenya and Zanzibar, including Marriott, Hilton and The Zanzibar Collection.
He specializes in innovative engineering solutions, sustainable energy management and cost-efficient utility systems. Douglas has successfully led large-scale renovations, implemented renewable energy and green technologies resulting in consistently reduced operating costs without compromising quality.
